Q: What browsers are compatible with this site?
This site supports the latest version of Firefox and Internet Explorer. We are aiming to make this site cross-browser compatible. If you are using browser other than the latest versions Firefox or Internet Explorer and experience problems, please e-mail contactus@bikersandsellers.com. Thank you.
Q: Is Javascript required?
Yes. Most browsers have Javascript enabled by default. If you are unsure if Javascript is enabled on your browser then click here if you are using Firefox. For Internet Explorer users, click Tools >> Internet Options >> Select the "Security" tab >> Select the Internet "globe" icon >> Custom Level >> Search for "Active Scripting" (near the bottom) to enable/disable.
Personal Accounts
Q: How much does it cost to post an ad?
All ads are FREE to post.
Q: Do I have to register to post an ad?
Yes, only registered visitors to site may post ads. This is for your protection and integrity of the site.
Q: Do I have to register to look at posted items on the site?
No, you may look at items at anytime and contact seller without registering.
Q: How long is my ad going to run for?
All ads offering items for sale run for (1) month from the day they are listed.
Q: Can I include any personal information in my ad?
No personal information may be posted in your ad. If contacted by viewer for potential sale use your own discretion in offering any personal info.
Q: Can I upload any pictures?
Yes, you may upload up to (4) pictures of item you are selling.
Q: Can I modify my ad after I have posted it?
Yes, you may modify your ad at any time by going to “Username” enter it and your “Password” to change ads at your control panel.
Q: Can I list an item again if it doesn’t sell?
Yes, you may offer item as many times as you like.
This is a contest that is offered to “registers” of BikersandSellers.com. Each month a “register” will win a sponsored item for the month of the drawing. See: Posting Policies: “Swag of the Month” for details.
Q: Do you have to be selling an item to register for “Swag of the Month”?
Yes and No. First time registers do not have to post to enter. Only registers that offer items to sell in following months of swag contest are eligible for future contents.
Q: How is winner of contest notified?
The winner of “Swag of the Month” will be notified via email by the 10th of the following month. It is the responsibility of “register” to give accurate email address during registration.
Merchant Location Accounts
Q: What is the “Merchant Location Account”?
Merchant Location Accounts are for bike businesses who would like to use the internet to widen their audience using the marketing potential of the internet. All Merchant Location Accounts will be listed in our “Store Locater” section, which is a listing of all bike stores within a specified geographical area. Merchant Location Account users will have their own profile page which includes a description, address, and, optionally, the business' logo. It is the user's responsibility to add their profile information (including the logo) through the control panel. Any ads posted by “Merchant Location Account” will include links to that merchant's profile page and vice-versa. See “Posting Policies”: “Merchant Location Account” for more the details.
Q: What are the differences between “Merchant Location Account” posting and “Personal Account” posting?
Personal Accounts are for general users who want to sell their own personal bikes and/or bike equipment while Merchant Location Accounts are for store owners who would like to advertise their store on the internet. Both Personal Accounts and Merchant Location Accounts are free, however, only Personal Accounts users are eligible for “Swag of the Month” contests. Merchant Location Accounts are limited to ten postings at any given time.
Q: As a Merchant can I register in any other categories?
Yes, merchants offering employment may register and post ads in “Jobs/Careers in the Cycling Industry”.
Q: May I post more than ten (10) ads at one time?

Q: May I put a pass through link on my “Merchant Location Account” ads?
No, only pre-approved links are able to be put into ads. The reason for this is to keep an even playing field for all bike retailers.
Job/Careers in Cycling Industry Account
Q: How many ads can I post and for how long do they run?
All employment ads with run for thirty (30) days from when posted and each register may post up to ten (10) ads at one time.
Q: Is there anything else about this account that I should know
Yes, you will be able to show a company “Logo” and be able to add a description about your company. All job information will need to be in a format that is compatible to upload for visitors to view. Note: Currently, we support the .pdf format for external attachments. Alternatively, job descriptions can be entered directly into the control panel.
Q: May I post more than ten (10) jobs at one time?

Q: What can I post on web site?
Cycling sources in these two categories may post information on “what we are all about” in a description box. You may also add a “logo” image of your company, team or affiliation.
Q: How long will posting run?
These ads will run for as long an author wishes to be viewed. Post may be updated at any time.
Q: May I register for other categories?
Yes, if you’re offering an employment or volunteer position you can register and post ads in the “Job/Careers in the Cycling Industry”.
Q: If I’ve already posted my news source or posted under another category how should I post my events?
Register each individually by name of the event..i.e. “The Big Ride” is the event; the user name would be the same. You can use the same password and email address as you do for your other postings.
Q: Can I have a pass through link my on posting?
If you are willing to put a pass through link on your web sites home page or page that offers “Related Links” then we will approve pass through links. If you have a question contactUs@BikersandSellers.com
Q: Can I sell subscriptions of my periodical on BikersandSellers.com?
